 English Inventories 1444-1649These inventories have been gathered from a number of sources: Mark Overton's bibliography of inventories, the Public Record Office, Guildhall Library, the Orphans' Court Register, footnotes of secondary sources,the index of the library of the Society of Antiquaries, word-of- mouth recommendations. The three Italian inventories, italics, are for comparison and to reinforce certain arguments in the text.
