A consideration of the relationship between two of the most admired decorative arts of the Ottoman Period
Arthur started his career in the art world at Sotheby's in 1985, eventually taking charge of their Indian, Himalayan and South East Asian auctions in London. After a period of running a gallery in Kensington, he is now an independent consultant. He is currently chairman of the Indian and Islamic vetting committee at the Olympia Antiques Fairs, as well as being a member of the committee at the London Masterpiece and Lapada Fairs. His book, Damascus Tiles, was published by Prestel in 2015.
